This video footage shows Ukraine’s President visiting troops in Soledar on Sunday (05June2022) near the frontline where they are battling Russian troops.
He also visited Lysychansk, which is just a few kilometres from Sievierodonetsk – where much of the fiercest fighting has occurred and Ukrainian troops are reported to have regained ground amid streetfights.
The trips are rare presidential visits outside the capital Kyiv since the start of the Russian invasion on 24 February 2022.
Zelenskyy has also rarely visited the very frontlines during the conflict due to safety concerns.

KIEV (UCRAINA) – “L’esercito ucraino sta gradualmente liberando il territorio della regione di Kherson.
Oggi la regione di Tavriya è stata aggiunta all’elenco degli insediamenti restituiti del nostro stato.
Ci sono alcuni successi anche nella regione di Zaporozhye.
A Severodonetsk continuano feroci combattimenti di strada.
Sono orgoglioso di tutti i nostri difensori, sono orgoglioso dei nostri difensori che sono stati in grado di fermare l’avanzata di queste persone ostili, di questi occupanti per molte settimane e di mantenere forte la nostra difesa”.
Così il presidente ucraino Volodymyr Zelensky in un video su telegram.
“Ricordate come la Russia sperava di conquistare l’intero Donbas all’inizio di maggio? Siamo già al 108° giorno di guerra, a giugno.
Il Donbass tiene duro.
Le perdite subite dagli occupanti, anche in quest’area, sono molto significative.
In totale, l’esercito russo oggi ha circa 32.

“Nessuno può dire ora quanto durerà questo sacrificio di uomini da parte della Russia.
Ma dobbiamo fare di tutto per far pentire gli occupanti di aver fatto tutto questo e ritenerli responsabili di ogni omicidio e di ogni colpo al nostro bellissimo stato.
